Question 1

How Do I Choose My Ready-to-Wear Size?

Accepted Answer

Start by taking your bust, waist, hip and shoulder measurements. Compare them with the measurements provided on the product's size chart. Then consider the garment's intended fit, such as straight, relaxed or oversized.

Question 2

How Should A Kurta Fit?

Accepted Answer

A kurta should allow comfortable movement without excessive pulling around the bust, shoulders or armholes. The shoulder seam should generally sit close to your natural shoulder point unless the design is intentionally oversized or relaxed.

Question 3

Should I Buy A Bigger Size If I Am Between Sizes?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the garment's silhouette and your measurements. A relaxed garment may work in the smaller size if the shoulders and bust remain comfortable, while a fitted garment may require the larger size.

Question 4

Are Ready-to-Wear Sizes The Same Across All Brands?

Accepted Answer

No. Size labels can vary between brands and individual garments. That is why checking the measurements provided for the specific garment is more reliable than choosing a size based only on S, M, L or XL.

Question 5

What Measurements Do I Need For A Kurta?

Accepted Answer

The most useful measurements are bust, waist, hips and shoulders. You can also compare garment length and sleeve length with a kurta you already own.

Question 6

How Can I Choose A Ready-to-Wear Size When Shopping Online?

Accepted Answer

Take your measurements, check the product's size chart and read the fit description. If you already own a similar garment that fits well, comparing its measurements with the new product can also be helpful.
